Why Stirling in the Adelaide Hills is the Perfect Place for Massage
Shino outside her Stirling massage studio. A beautiful and peaceful home in the Adelaide Hills.
When you turn off the freeway into the beautiful Adelaide Hills the first thing you notice is the abundance of greenery surrounding you on every side. Old pines filter the sunlight and, in Stirling especially, you feel like you’ve just entered a secret paradise.
After years of massage training in Japan and India I specifically chose Stirling as the home for Yogi Veda. It was this natural beauty that really captivated me; every day when I open up the studio I feel effortlessly relaxed, calm and quiet. Clients regularly tell me that a massage in Stirling is the perfect day off!
The wonderful thing about the Adelaide Hills (and Stirling in specific) is that they are such a short trip from the city. If you’re treating yourself to a massage or Ayurvedic treatment then taking 20 minutes to leave the hustle and bustle of the city is such a fantastic idea.
After I give a massage I like to sit and have a cup of Ayurvedic Dosha Tea with my clients and soak in the atmosphere. This is actually almost as important as the massage itself – we form a new friendly bond and take a few quiet moments to relax and let the experience settle in. I deliberately leave a lot of time in between appointments so that the private space is entirely yours during your stay.
Afterwards you can go off for some organic food at the Organic Market in Stirling (which is one minute from my studio), or go for a gentle wander among the forests, creeks and gardens that scatter these beautiful hills.
Stirling is such a fantastic part of the world and, whether you book a massage or not, I encourage you to spend more time out in the sunlight soaking in the fresh, clean air and enjoying the incredible natural world that all of Adelaide has on its doorstep. We are very, very lucky.
